
About Kaycee Clark
A Story Steeped in Sound
Noted for her unique style of music, great stage presence, and creativity, Kaycee Clark is striving to make her mark in the jazz scene. The Bay Area multi-reedist is a clarinetist, saxophonist, performer, teacher, and composer. Passionate, driven, and expressive, she wants to share her love of music with people all around the world.
Kaycee recently graduated from the University of the Pacific pursuing a career in jazz studies with an emphasis on the clarinet and saxophone.
She has performed at various jazz festivals receiving outstanding musicianship awards and top scores with big bands. These festivals include Santa Cruz, Brentwood, Stockton, and Reno. She also performed at Carnegie Hall with the Symphonic Wind ensemble as the headliner. She has performed with the Pittsburg Big Band, Brentwood Big Band, Lodi Big Band, Night Notes The Chromatics, and Pacific’s jazz ensemble and combos. Kaycee was the recipient of the United States Navy outstanding musicianship award in 2014, outstanding soloist in 2017, the Louis Armstrong award in 2017, and recently received the 2021 Pacific jazz ensemble award.
Kayce has collaborated with numerous notable jazz musicians including Gregory Tardy, Ingrid Jensen, Joe Mazzaferro, Dee Daniels, Carl Allen, and Mark Zaleski. She was also taught by saxophonist, Patrick Langham. Along with this she has been a camp counselor, marketing intern, and sales associate for the Brubeck institute, Pacific’s jazz program, and Take Five Jazz Club.
Kaycee is currently playing and composing music for a podcast in New York City.
